Yeast Infection Diet

Yeast infection is a very undesirable medical problem that can affect women because of different reasons. The fungus that causes the infection is named Candida albicans, which is actually a natural good fungus that is an important constituent of a healthy body. These foods include sweets and any foods with sweeteners especially processed foods, flake cereals, sprouted grains, granola, pearl barley, instant oats, cornmeal, microwave popcorn, pasta, noodles, all forms of breads and baked goods, sweetened beans, sweetened peas, bean sprouts, tempeh, tofu, coconuts, peanuts, pistachios, walnuts, dairy products, cheeses, milk, sweetened yogurt, dried fruits, alcoholic beverages, coffee, fruit juices, tea, carbonated drinks, condiments, sauces, proteins, beetroot, canned tomatoes, cucumber skins, carrots, mushrooms, potato skins, canned or ready-to-cook soups.

As long as the list of prohibited foods may be, there are still foods that you can freely eat, and you can even eat them in large amounts to help eliminate your yeast problems. These foods which you can eat even in the middle of struggling with yeast infection include beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbages, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, green peppers, lettuce, onion, radishes, parsley, peas, rocket or arugulla spinach, tomatoes, garlic, ginger root, turnips, fish, chicken, duck, nuts, seeds, eggs, rice, beans, oats, grapefruits, pineapples, strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and papayas.

There are also other foods that you can eat in moderation. They are not too dangerous for yeast infection, but they can still be eaten in small amounts and not as frequent as those foods which are highly advisable to be eaten. These foods include whole grain unsweetened and yeast-free foods like chapatis, whole wheat flour, corn chips, quick breads, unsweetened rice cakes or crackers, tortillas made from brown, corn or whole wheat, dried or frozen black peas, chickpeas, garbanzo beans, lentils, soybeans, soy flakes, split peas, unsweetened soymilk, almond milk, plain yogurt with natural good bacteria, almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, hazel nuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, pine nuts, poppy seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, all types of fish, and beef.
