There are also some useful lifestyle alterations that can be easily done to prevent the worsening of the infection. Don’t hold your urine, as it keeps the bacteria in the urinary bladder. Whenever you need to urinate, do it quick do that the bacteria in your urine will be expelled immediately. Alcohol is something to avoid if you have UTI. It irritates the bladder and makes urinating more painful. Caffeine is also one substance to avoid, and drinking coffee, tea, and sodas should be avoided, as well as eating chocolates.
