Heartburn is quite common and it is not a big deal to be worried about if experienced once or twice. However, there are cases when heartburn occurs repeatedly. Apples, apple cider vinegar, papayas, guavas, pears, bananas, ginger tea, fennel tea, chamomile tea, aloe vera juice, and licorice extract are some natural remedies for GERD. Eating or taking these daily may help alleviate GERD symptoms, including constant heartburn.

You should also stop drinking and smoking as these can aggravate acidity. Exercising is one good way of normalizing body acids, as well as practicing stress-releasing activities like yoga. These are helpful in preventing excessive production of acids which are the primary cause of heartburn.
