Joint pain is a very undesirable medical malady which affects millions of people all over the world. There are different causes for the occurrence of joint pains, and there are also different kinds of illnesses which exhibit joint pain as a very common symptom. Out of the many illnesses which can cause joint pain, there is none that is milder than the other. All joint pain problems are very painful, extremely uncomfortable, and cause immobility.
Some of the most common forms of joint pain are arthritis, rheumatism, gout, sprain, sports-related injuries, and many others. These are very painful, and some of them are chronic or lifelong diseases that you have to endure. Many of them are related to old age, but sports and injuries are also common causes of these different joint problems.
In order to find relief from the pain and discomfort brought by these joint problems, people search for cures and treatments that they can use to minimize the pain and correct whatever has been damaged in the body that causes the ailment. There are hundreds of products in the market that are addressed to curing joint pain, but many of them are only temporary pain relief and do not really correct the root cause of the problem.
Medications for joint pain are mostly analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and similar painkillers. There are also some dietary supplements for the cure or several joint problems like glucosamine, chondroitin, and cetyl myristoleate. While these may be effective in providing pain relief, they are not really useful for curing the disease, and you still need to endure joint pain attacks and you still have to maintain a lifestyle that favors your condition so as not to aggravate the medical problem that you suffer from.
There are also a lot of natural remedies which are used for the treatment of different kinds of joint pain. Cherries are used for curing gout, while emu oil is used for relieving inflammation. Warm and cold compresses are also used to reduce swelling and relieve pain temporarily. But there is another natural treatment which you can use to provide pain relief to your joint pain problems – bathu juice.
Bathu juice is a fresh liquid extract taken from the leaves of the bathu or bathua plant. This plan is a native Northern Indian food crop which is used for many different purposes. Bathu has the scientific name of Chenopodium album, and it is commonly known in English as white goosefoot, lamb’s quarters, dungweed, pigweed, or simply goosefoot.
As an herbal treatment, bathu is extracted and the juice of the leaves is drunk once daily with an empty stomach. The amount of the juice should be approximately 15 grams only, and the extract should be very fresh. Sugar or any flavoring or additive should not be added to it as this can reduce its effectiveness. Drinking bathu juice is a good home remedy for joint pain, although the advised amount should be followed because very high concentrations of bathu can be harmful to the body.
Bathu is high in oxalic acid, but it is also very rich in various minerals and vitamins like protein, vitamin A, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. It is a very healthy vegetable to eat, and it is eaten in Northern India as a common meal. However, as a joint problem treatment, it has not been really proven effective by any kind of study whatsoever. It is only used as a herbal remedy without scientific background or support, making it a medically unadvisable treatment for joint problems. Nonetheless, there are people who really attest to the effectiveness of this herbal plant. Effective or not, it is definitely worth a try.
